Description

Dr Carberry is a businessperson turned chiropractor after an injury. He is married to Coleen Carberry, a physical therapist that specializes in traumatic brain injury. From their combined viewpoint, Dr Carberry explores the following. This course explores the growing crisis of spinal pain management in the context of an alarming $460 billion market and the overreliance on opioids, which has led to widespread addiction and limited long-term solutions. We’ll dive into the White House Task Force’s findings on the dangerous overuse of opioids, steroids, and anti-inflammatory drugs, contrasting them with the clinical benefits of chiropractic care. Highlighting the connection between posture, proprioception, and spinal health, we’ll discuss how chiropractic approaches address both sympathetic and parasympathetic imbalances. By examining common issues like forward head carriage and Upper/Lower Cross Syndrome, we’ll show how rehabilitation and integrated practice models produce better clinical outcomes. This session will ultimately argue for chiropractic care as a vital, safe alternative to harmful opioid use for spinal pain relief.
